Presence

A panoramic landscape rendered in heavy impasto across oversize canvas. Dominant palette of warm yellow, gold, ochre, and coral with a winding aqua-green river cutting through rolling terrain. Thick layers of acrylic, ink, and earth pigments create substantial surface texture. Eucalyptus trees appear as gestural forms in burnt sienna and olive. Muted grey-green sky provides atmospheric contrast to the vivid earth tones below.

Art Story

I painted this when I was living between Albury and Wodonga — a remote, cross-border place where the energy was pure but had not yet found its voice. The land held something real that nobody around me could see. The hills, the river, the light — all present, all waiting. I was waiting too. I did not know what for, but the weight of that quiet knowing pressed into every layer of paint I put down.

Spatial Function

Albury functions as an anchoring presence in architectural and residential environments. The panoramic format and warm earth-tone palette create a grounding atmospheric field suitable for entrance hallways, open living spaces, meditation rooms, and professional reception areas. The work stabilises rather than activates a space. The environmental influence is one of quiet awareness and settled perception.

The frames are 1 cm wide and 5.5 cm deep, with a sleek 0.5 cm gap between the canvas and frame. This design adds 3 cm to the overall dimensions of the print, creating a refined and modern presentation.

Please note: Returns for change of mind are not accepted, as each product is custom-made to order.

Every Limited Edition print includes a signed and numbered Certificate of Authenticity. The certificate carries Summer Jiang's signature, the edition number (e.g. 12 of 49), title, and date. The canvas itself is also signed on the verso in permanent ink for archival protection.

The certificate arrives sealed in a dark envelope, separate from the artwork.

Summer Jiang trained at the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA). A committed camper and hiker, she works in large-scale acrylic, translating the colour and movement of the Australian landscape into pieces built to hold a wall.

Each limited edition print is produced from her original work using professional pigment inks— made to last.
