About this Artwork
Life is about borrowing the false to cultivate the true. For a long time the mirror was mistaken for life. This work came when the need to be somebody finally dropped — when the mundane stopped being something to get through and everything became reflection answering back. Two circular gold-ringed forms frame a central vertical figure rendered in deep purple, the horizontal axis where they meet giving the work its quiet architectural backbone.
Visual Presence
The composition is symmetrical and grounded. Gold mineral pigment catches light along the concentric rings; deep purple anchors the centre. The surface is built from many gestural washes — green, yellow, pink, ochre, and earth tones threading through one another, the colour layered rather than applied. The background reads as wash rather than detail, building depth without demanding it. Scale and stillness are the dominant qualities.
Where It Belongs
This work calms a wide space rather than activating it. It belongs in rooms that already breathe — large studios, meditation or yoga spaces, open-plan living areas with distance to step back, architectural spaces with strong natural light. The horizontal symmetry suits walls that frame rather than crowd.
Material & Printing
Our museum-quality prints are produced on state-of-the-art Epson fine-art printers using premium, acid-free canvas. Eco-solvent inks with UV protection deliver exceptional resistance to water, scratches, mould, and fading, maintaining rich colour vibrancy in any environment.
For artworks where either side is 1.6 m or less, we use an exquisite 380 gsm linen canvas, chosen for its subtle texture and tonal fidelity.
For grander pieces exceeding 1.6 m in both dimensions, we print on professional synthetic canvas, ensuring structural integrity and fine detail at scale.
All prints feature a matte finish by default. If you prefer a gloss finish, please note this at checkout
Rolled Canvas:
Delivered safely in a protective tube, ready for your custom framing.
For rolled canvas, no border is added unless specified at checkout.
When a border is added, the overall size remains the same — the image itself is proportionally reduced to allow space for the border.
Framed Canvas:
Each print is hand-stretched over solid timber bars and finished with your choice of oak floater frames in black, white, or natural.
Frame dimensions: 1 cm wide × 5.5 cm deep, with a 0.5 cm gap between canvas and frame — adding 3 cm to the total size for a refined, modern presentation.
Care
Easy care: simply wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust or light marks.
Each print is custom stretched and framed at our Melbourne facility. Every piece is cut and assembled by hand, to ensure the highest quality finish.

Stretched Canvas Construction
Each canvas is mounted on 4 cm (1.57 in) deep stretcher bars made from Australian pine. The canvas is tightly stretched and wrapped around these solid wooden frames, giving it a strong, gallery-grade structure with noticeable depth — ideal for large or statement pieces.
This thickness adds durability and a clean, modern presentation, allowing the artwork to stand out beautifully without additional framing.
Edge Style
By default, all stretched canvases use a mirrored edge for a clean, continuous look. If you prefer a black or white edge, please mention it in your checkout notes; otherwise, the mirrored edge will be applied automatically.

Summer Jiang’s journey as an artist began at the age of 18, when she first picked up acrylic paints. As a teenager, she honed her skills in the prestigious Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA), training part-time while pursuing her her academic studies in science. During university, she also began selling art commissions, solidifying her passion for creating.
A passionate camper and hiker, Summer found her way back to painting, dedicating herself to producing a new piece every week. She continues to blend her love for the natural world with her artistic practice, seeking to evoke emotion and connection through her dynamic, oversized acrylic works.
