Striped Landscape with Mountains — Paul Klee

An extra large Colourful Abstract canvas print in pink and aqua. Its calm banded rhythm and warm palette make it a gentle focal point for a hotel corridor, a wellness suite or a light-filled dining room.

Visual Presence

Fine horizontal bands stack the upper two-thirds like a woven sky, shading from soft mint and rose through slate blue to bright ribbons of magenta and red. Below, a row of triangular peaks in rust, pink and ochre rises from a warm scalloped band of red at the base. The colour is dry and chalky, the mood patterned and serene, tuned like layered strata.

About the Art

Paul Klee often organised his landscapes into strata — horizontal bands ruled edge to edge and gently graded in hue — a device he deepened after his journey to Egypt in the winter of 1928-29 and revisited in later work. Banded, tapestry-like skies set above triangular peaks let landscape and pure pattern hold in balance. The measured colour transitions and geometric mountains reflect his documented wish to make the ordinary world feel both ordered and strange.
