Presence

Portrait-format canvas. Acrylic mineral pigments with bold colour contrasts. A central tree trunk in green, red-brown, and white stands against a predominantly dark background. Large white-pink blossoms fill the lower register. Green vegetation and dark earth tones create depth. Bare branches extend into a grey sky beyond. Brushwork is confident and textural.

Art Story

I painted a tree that knew exactly what it was doing. Not thinking about growing. Not performing health. Just being a tree — rooted, present, blooming because that is what happens when the roots go deep enough. I recognised something in that tree I had been trying to achieve in myself. The tree was not trying. That was the point.

Spatial Function

This work introduces rooted vertical energy into tall spaces. The strong central trunk and dark-light contrast create a grounding presence suited to entryways, hallways, or meditation rooms where deep, settled awareness supports the room's purpose.

Please note: Returns for change of mind are not accepted, as each product is custom-made to order.

Every Limited Edition print includes a signed and numbered Certificate of Authenticity. The certificate carries Summer Jiang's signature, the edition number (e.g. 12 of 49), title, and date. The canvas itself is also signed on the verso in permanent ink for archival protection.

The certificate arrives sealed in a dark envelope, separate from the artwork.

Summer Jiang trained at the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA). A committed camper and hiker, she works in large-scale acrylic, translating the colour and movement of the Australian landscape into pieces built to hold a wall.
