Presence

A dramatic river landscape rendered in mixed media with raw gestural brushwork on oversize canvas. Dominant palette of dark green, blue, and brown punctuated by vivid red, pink, and orange colour streaks. Dark rock formations frame a flowing river with drip technique and bold marks creating physical surface tension. Trees appear as dark silhouettes against a muted sky.

Art Story

I painted this at the Murray River where the rocks were ancient and the water was dark and fast. Something in the landscape was fighting — not the water against the rock but something underneath both of them. I felt it in my body as I painted. The red came out before I planned it. I was angry at things I could not name and this painting took all of that and put it somewhere I could see it. It was the first time I let the fight onto the canvas without trying to resolve it.

Spatial Function

Rebellion functions as an activating catalyst in architectural and professional environments. The dramatic palette and raw surface energy create a confrontational atmospheric field suitable for entry hallways, offices, feature walls, and spaces where bold energetic presence and forward momentum are desired.

Oak Framed Canvas: Our framed canvas prints are expertly stretched onto sturdy thick timber stretcher bars and finished with your choice of premium oak floater frames in white, black, or natural finishes. The frames are 1 cm wide and 5.5 cm deep, with a sleek 0.5 cm gap between the canvas and frame. This design adds 3 cm to the overall dimensions of the print, creating a refined and modern presentation.

Please note: Returns for change of mind are not accepted, as each product is custom-made to order.

Every Limited Edition print includes a signed and numbered Certificate of Authenticity. The certificate carries Summer Jiang's signature, the edition number (e.g. 12 of 49), title, and date. The canvas itself is also signed on the verso in permanent ink for archival protection.

The certificate arrives sealed in a dark envelope, separate from the artwork.

Summer Jiang trained at the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA). A committed camper and hiker, she works in large-scale acrylic, translating the colour and movement of the Australian landscape into pieces built to hold a wall.

Each limited edition print is produced from her original work using professional pigment inks— made to last.
