About this Artwork

This painting began when explanations no longer mattered. Life never stands still, but its movement is not random — patterns return as mechanics, impartial. The work lives in the middle of movement — clear, unresisting, and unbound. A wide horizon holds a single luminous sun; orbital spheres line the field where ground meets light.

Visual Presence

A wide horizontal composition of light. The sun centres the upper field as a saturated, granular mass of yellow and gold; below, the horizon dissolves into pale green wash with darker gestural foliage marks at the foreground. Acrylic and ink form the base layers, with red, black, and yellow earth pigments above; rice paper coloured with ink and watercolour is collaged into the surface.

Where It Belongs

Quiet, contemplative spaces — meditation rooms, open living areas, rooms with strong daylight. The work calms a wide space rather than activating it. Best where there is distance to step back and the eye can travel across the horizon line.
