Visual Presence
Spiralling gold branches twist outward from a single rooted trunk, every spiral curling into the next. Tiny eye motifs and millefiori-like flowers stud the foliage, and the gold turns the surface into something between painting and metalwork — flat, luminous ornament that seems to radiate its own light.
About the Art
Originally part of the Stoclet Frieze, this is Klimt's most decorative meditation on connection, fertility and the unity of opposites. Its flat ornament owes as much to Byzantine mosaics and Egyptian wall reliefs as to Art Nouveau, and it has become one of the most reproduced images in modern art.

Stretched Canvas Construction
Each canvas is mounted on 4 cm (1.57 in) deep stretcher bars made from Australian pine. The canvas is tightly stretched and wrapped around these solid wooden frames, giving it a strong, gallery-grade structure with noticeable depth — ideal for large or statement pieces.
This thickness adds durability and a clean, modern presentation, allowing the artwork to stand out beautifully without additional framing.
Edge Style
By default, all stretched canvases use a mirrored edge for a clean, continuous look. If you prefer a black or white edge, please mention it in your checkout notes; otherwise, the mirrored edge will be applied automatically.
For sizes exceeding 200x300 cm, we will split the canvas into two seamless panels to meet courier shipping limitations. The split is crafted to ensure the image remains continuous and flawless across both panels. You can choose to display the panels with or without a gap for different visual effects.
If you select the framed option, each panel will be framed separately to ensure secure shipping and easy handling.
Examples:
- A 240x300 cm artwork will be divided into two panels of 120x300 cm each.
- A 240x400 cm artwork will be split into two panels of 240x200 cm each.
This approach maintains the visual impact and flexibility of oversized pieces while accommodating shipping needs.
