Dynamism of a Cyclist — Umberto Boccioni
A huge Futurist canvas print in blue and yellow. Cobalt wedges and gold arcs all wheel the same way across the full width, and the black whip-lines run with them, so a hallway, an office reception or a gym wall gets a surface that travels sideways instead of sitting still — movement along the wall, on a wall people move along.
Visual Presence
Printed two to three metres wide, the gold and cream fields throw a warm daylight-coloured glow along the wall while the deep cobalt masses hold the centre, so a corridor reads lit rather than decorated. From the far end only the sweep carries — blue wedges cutting through gold, left to right — which is why it holds a wall people walk past rather than sit in front of. Close up the thick brushed ridges, the small green and pink flecks and the black lines break that sweep into hundreds of separate marks, so the wall gives something back at arm's length too.
About the Art
Umberto Boccioni (1882–1916), Modern, painted 1913. Umberto Boccioni (1882–1916), Futurism, painted 1913. We chose it as the clearest picture of speed the Futurists made. Boccioni painted force lines — his term for the path an object takes if it follows its own tendencies — instead of a frozen instant, so rider, machine and air become one substance in flux. Two preparatory drawings still show a head-down racing cyclist; on the canvas he has gone into curves and cones. The Peggy Guggenheim Collection, which holds it on long-term loan from the Gianni Mattioli Collection, calls it perhaps his most beautiful work. Oil on canvas, 70 by 95 centimetres.

Each canvas is mounted on 4.2 cm (1.65 in) deep stretcher bars made from Australian pine. The canvas is tightly stretched and wrapped around these solid wooden frames, giving it a strong, gallery-grade structure with noticeable depth — ideal for large or statement pieces.
This thickness adds durability and a clean, modern presentation, allowing the artwork to stand out beautifully without additional framing.
Edge Style
By default, all stretched canvases use a mirrored edge for a clean, continuous look. If you prefer a black or white edge, please mention it in your checkout notes; otherwise, the mirrored edge will be applied automatically.
For sizes exceeding 200x300 cm, we will split the canvas into two seamless panels to meet courier shipping limitations. The split is crafted to ensure the image remains continuous and flawless across both panels. You can choose to display the panels with or without a gap for different visual effects.
If you select the framed option, each panel will be framed separately to ensure secure shipping and easy handling.
Examples:
- A 240x300 cm artwork will be divided into two panels of 120x300 cm each.
- A 240x400 cm artwork will be split into two panels of 240x200 cm each.
This approach maintains the visual impact and flexibility of oversized pieces while accommodating shipping needs.
