About this artwork
A dense, map-like field of fine line work spreads across the surface — black and terracotta marks knitting into channels, grids and cross-hatched districts on a pale, aged ground, like an aerial chart of some imagined city or coastline. Across two panels the lines flow and reconnect, inviting slow reading: the eye travels them as it would a real map, tracing routes that lead everywhere and nowhere. Spare, cerebral and quietly restless.
