About this artwork
A single fluid, calligraphic line traces an elongated human figure in motion across a warm sand-coloured ground — a body caught mid-stretch, all reaching limbs and arched spine described in one continuous gesture of black ink, loosened by drips and scattered spatter. Spare and energetic, the drawing captures movement rather than anatomy, the figure seeming to rise and turn within the empty space around it. Intimate, gestural and quietly dynamic.
