Colour and layout editing — for any catalogue piece.
What you can change
Colour swap
Replace up to 3 colours. Provide the target colour as a reference photo or hex code (no verbal descriptions — colour perception varies). Common: re-tone to match interior palette.
Layout edit
Stretch, crop, or digitally re-fit the composition to the proportion your wall needs.
How it works
- Add this service to your cart together with the catalogue artwork you want edited, and check out.
- Within 2 business days you receive an email to confirm the brief (you can also phone us to discuss). We confirm scope, target colours, and layout.
- Once the brief is confirmed, editing starts. Digital proof sent for your approval — maximum two rounds of revision included.
- On approval, the file goes straight to production in our Melbourne studio. The edited printing file is not released externally — production stays in-house.
Prefer to discuss first?
If your request is more complex, send a brief and we’ll confirm scope before you pay.
Common questions
What does the $98 fee cover?
$98 covers the colour edit your brief actually needs — up to a ceiling of 3 distinct colour swaps. A digital layout edit (stretch, crop, re-fit) is included only if required. Applied to a Wall Liberation catalogue piece (Limited Edition or Open Edition) or your own file, when production goes via our printing & framing. Includes the digital proof within 2 business days and up to 2 rounds of revision. The fee does not include printing, framing, or delivery — those are quoted separately via our printing & framing service.
How do I provide the target colour?
Two ways: a reference photo (a paint chip, fabric swatch, interior shot, or any image showing the exact tone) or a hex code (#xxxxxx). Verbal descriptions like "navy blue" or "warm pink" are not accepted — colour perception varies too widely between screens, lighting, and individuals.
Can you edit my own file, or only catalogue pieces?
Both — as long as printing & framing go through Wall Liberation. We edit either a catalogue piece (Limited Edition or Open Edition) directly, or your own file. All common art file formats accepted (TIFF, PSD, JPG, PNG, PDF, HEIC). If your file isn't 300 dpi at print size, request our free image enhancing service — we'll enhance it before editing at no charge. Once the edit is approved, the file goes straight to production via Custom Canvas Print & Frame · Online or Quotation. The edited print-ready file is not released externally.
What counts as one "colour swap"?
One swap = replacing one distinct colour in the artwork with a different colour (for example, swapping the cobalt blue background for dusty rose). You get up to 3 swaps per $98. Adjacent shading and minor variations of the same colour count as one swap.
What if I want more than 3 colour swaps?
The 3-swap ceiling covers the great majority of briefs. If your brief genuinely needs more, send us a note through the form on this page — we'll scope it before quoting.
What does "layout editing" mean?
Digital re-shaping of the composition to fit your wall — stretching, cropping, or digitally re-fitting the image to a different proportion (e.g., square → landscape). It does not include adding or removing elements, repositioning subjects, or compositional changes — those require a custom Painting Commission instead.
How many revisions are included?
Two rounds of revision on the digital proof are included. After the second round, additional revisions are quoted on file. Most edits land within the included rounds — clear briefs (photo references + hex codes + specific layout dimensions) speed this up.
What's the turnaround?
Digital proof within 2 business days of order. Each revision round adds 1–2 business days. Once you approve, the edit file goes into our printing pipeline — printing & framing add 2–3 weeks (quoted separately).
Why don't I receive the print-ready file?
The studio retains reproduction rights to its catalogue artworks. The edited file goes only into Wall Liberation's printing & framing pipeline. This ensures colour-managed output across every reproduction and protects the artist's reproduction rights.
What sizes can the edited artwork be printed at?
From 80 × 80 cm to 600 cm on the long edge (single-piece), or up to 6 metres as two-panel. Final size + finish (rolled, stretched, or oak-framed) is selected and quoted when you proceed to Custom Canvas Print & Frame · Online or Quotation.
Can I combine colour edit with size/format changes?
Yes — the $98 covers both colour swaps (up to 3) and a digital layout edit (stretch / crop / re-fit) on the same artwork. No need to buy two services for combined changes.
What if the proof doesn't match my brief?
Each revision round is your chance to refine — be specific about what's off (which colour is wrong, which crop you wanted). We'll discuss before re-doing, so the next round lands. If after both included rounds the proof still doesn't match a clear, in-scope brief, we'll either extend the work or refund — case-by-case.
